Genting Trip - Day 1

Planned a short trip to genting for Lervin’s and hus’s birthday.
Our last trip was July 2011.
1 year later we are going back there and this time we’re bringing the kids out of sg ourselves! (excluding JB) Of course my parents are quite worried. Afraid that we can’t cope, lost one of them. How can we possible let them run about without looking after them?! Esp when we know we are not in sg. Anyway I understand their worries too so I had to assure them again and again.

This time we are taking Grassland coach. Clean and spacious seats which is much better than Five stars coach.
Leave the house at 6.45am and reached there 7.00am. No problem for the kids on long bus journey =) It’s only both boys keep wanting to sit with me and this makes the hus angry. Lol!

Basically they just eat, sleep and play during the journey.

This fella up to his mischief! Letting korkor smell his smelly feet!

(-.-")

This whole 5-6 hours journey include 1 stop for lunch and 2-3 for toilet break. Pretty fast and smooth journey and we reach there at 2pm.

I dread the long waiting time to get the keys to our room. I remembered that we wait for 3-4hrs just to get our room! This is the killer !!
But…. I’m surprised that they had change! We no longer need to take Q-no and waste our 3-4hrs waiting! We went straight to the booth, check-in with world card or passport and we got a room within 10mins! This is sucha big improvement!!!

This is the booth I'm saying.

We are lucky to get high floor but the downside is this complimentary room is so small! Totally regret it! Hus said anyway we just need a room to sleep as most of the time we are out... Ya, but I want a better room which is more comfortable. (-.-)

Put our lugguage in the room and came out for lunch. Very expensive meal. If I remembered correctly, this cost around $30!

Wanted to buy the tickets to bring the kids to outdoor theme park but it’s almost 4pm when we are out and it close at 7pm so we decided to bring them there tmr. We walked over to genting highland hotel and hus got me a prepaid card! Love!! I can surf net! It’s quite cheap. I think RM18 with RM15 of credit. =))
Before this trip, on the coach, reach genting, in our room I told hus that I wanted to go to the strawberry farm and I wanted to take the cable car. LOL! I know I’m very lorsoh. Hahaa!! I think hus can’t tahan my nagging and he bring us there! I saw a very very big group of people q-ing. But don’t know what they are q-ing for until I walked to the entrance of the cable car. I was like (O.O) because the Q is really very extremely looooooooooong!!! Hesitate if I should buy the tickets and Q since I’m the one who wanted to take but the sweetest hus said just buy since I’ve been saying for so long! =))

Opening hours.

The queue when we join.

We were in the Q for around 30mins… Although the Q is long but it’s moving so we don’t feel it’s really that long. On and off while waiting, my 2 boys received quite a few compliments saying they’re so cute and look like Korean. They are so kind with their words!

The queue when we are near the entrance.

Our turn !

The cable car here is so different from sg.
Sg cable car is a straight line like the photo below.

Cable car in Genting.

The overview of the scenery is really nice and beautiful but the cable line is damn scary! It's practically 45º down!
Lervin asked if there's dinosaurs down there. This scene totally fits the Jurasic Park movie. Tall trees, forest..... and he's kinda afraid. hahahaa! Leroy remain quiet. I think he heard what Lervin said and he's afraid too!

Reaching the other side of Genting!

There's actually nothing to shop. Just a few small shopes selling clothes, tibits, phone accessories... We spend like an hour walking around the mall and decided to back back.

Something happen during our trip back...
When we are almost reaching, the cable car stops abruptly and the whole cabin is swinging back and forth! Omg! I was terrified and hold on tightly to my boys as the swinging is quite strong! Imagine swinging 30º-40º back and forth. We can even hear ladies from other cabin screaming. The first thing that came to my mind how should I hold my boys if we were to fall? How to minimise the injury etc... I guess that's normal to think this way right? Anyway Leroy did not move a single muscle. Lervin immediately moved close to me and ask with a scared and worried look,"Mummy, are we going to drop down?" I can see hus is worried too but he is trying to calm us down. We were stuck for almost 5mins before it finally move! Thank God! I was in the cabin praying that we reach the ground safe and we did! The is the most terrifying cable car ride we'd took! Back to our room, I asked Lervin if he still want to take the cable car and he said he doesn't want to. Lol!

This is where the cable car stopped. We were this close to where we came from.

Glad all of this is over! Legs were a bit jelly when getting down. Lol!!
Told hus that we need something hot to calm our nerves and we went Old Town.

Love this jacket I bought for him!

Went back to hotel after supper and Hus told me he wanted to try his luch at the casino as it's his birthday today. Told him to control and not to play too long.
After an hour he's still not back and I called him and he said he's on the way back. The moment he entered the room, he told me excitedly that he won RM900+ after deducting RM60 which he played! Haha! Can see that he's super high from the winning. haha! Luckily he know how to stop. =)
Chatted and drink till 1am+ before we sleep.
Looking forward to Day 2 !
