Happy 15 months old Leroy !

Leroy is 15 months old today.!

Leroy seldom stays at my place. Sometimes even weekends I never bring him back. It's either I have things to do or even either one is sick. Just like 2 weeks before, Leroy had HFMD so he is not back to stay. He is really a bad-tempered boy. My mum spoilt him too. Gives in to him whenever he whine or cry. So now he will cry over little things. He knows who he can bully and who he can't. At my place, I say no means no. No matter how he cry, I will ignore him until he walk/crawl to me and lie on my chest. But when he is back to mum's place, his pattern starts again... Sigh~


- Drinking around 250ml - 280ml every 2-3hrs intervals. 1-2 times porridge, snacking.
Mummy : Yes.... He is still eating non-stop even till now. Not a bad thing. =)

- Sing, talk, scream, shout
Mummy : You name it. He sings in his own language. He dance no matter what music/song he heard. (even malay songs) He screams at his top of his voice. He shouts as and when he likes. As my dad says he is the king of the house. And indeed the meaning of his name, Leroy, means the King.

- Walk like running.
Mummy : He walks very fast as if he is running. It is really very cute to see this lil guy walks... =)

- Learning to feed himself.
Mummy : Recently, whenever my mum feeds him porridge or noodle, he wants to have his own set of bowl and spoon. Wanting to self-feed. Well, that's not a bad thing afterall. Maybe not long, he will be able to eat by himself. =)

- Basic
Mummy : Now we are teaching him where he should throw litter, where to keep the toys etc. These are the very basic and he knows where to go when asked to throw litter. =)

- Imitates
Mummy : Just yesterday, my mum told me when he see my dad whistle, he will imitate him with a pouty lips. So cute ! I'm gonna see him doing tonight !!!

- Things he needs for his nap or bedtime
Mummy : Without fail when he takes afternoon nap or even during bedtime, he will ask for his pacifer and beansprout pillows (he has 2) "TuTu" and "TuoTuo"

- Throw everything except food !
Mummy : He throws practically everything except food. Maybe that's the reason why korkor keep his toys away from leroy?

- Total no of teeth
Mummy : Actually I had lost count. I think he should at least have 14 teeth now. With some just erupted....

- Weight
Mummy : Thie lil fella weighs around 10.5kg now....

Dinner celebration

Dinner celebration for hus and lervin as their birthday is only 2 days apart.
Only to upload the photos as there's nothing much to write for tonight.

So eager to have a taste of the cake.

By the time we reach home, it is already 12am+. The mum is already half-eyes open when she only slept for 2 hours and lervin with droopy eyes....

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY LERVIN !!!

Yes !! My dear boy turns 3 today !!
Had been planning what to let him bring to school and share with his friends... Ever since I started baking, whatever lervin likes, it will be in my to bake/make list. He wanted a thomas cake... But I had not reach that stage to bake thomas cake yet and I cant possibly just buy a mini cake for his group with them celebrating happily and those 'can see cannot eat' children will be very pity... I experience that before and I don't like that feeling... So I make out a list and make sure the whole centre is able to enjoy and celebrate together ! The more the merrier !!
- The least messy the better. Especially they are all kids..
- Able to feed the whole centre kids and teachers which is approximately 80 servings.
- Able to do within my cap. Better to do by myself.
- Simple and manageable for the teachers and I did not take leave due to some reason.

I had somehow settle for cupcakes. No snatching as each and everyone will have their own cupcake, eat and throw and I can make extras.
How about decorations? I did consider edible image but I'm afraid it will melt and the celebration will be during tea time which is 3pm. I thinking decorating with fondant. But I had not try before. It can take up much of my time. Searching through website, blogs, forums.. I finally decided on frosting !!! Easy and fast.
Recipe, ingredients, arrangement all checked !

Lervin's birthday preparation

At the very last minute, I decided to bake Hus a cake for his birthday. Hus's birthday is 2 days after Lervin's. =) So after work, I rushed to Bugis cold storage and grab whipped cream and raspberries. Wanted to buy mango but it is not available there. So I went to market near my place to get it. Wanted to bake fresh fruit cake. =) After I went to friend's place to bake cake, I never once tried myself. Afraid that the cake is not edible... This time, I'm going all out !!
Starting baking at 9pm. In between Hus's friend came up to discuss Insurance for Leroy and he forget to inform me and expect me to be there and to ask whenever I have questions. He is the one who will be paying so he must understand too.. He knows I'm more detailed so everything also I do... He is like as long as I understand he will pay. Doesn't matter if he knows anot. In the end, I spent nearly an hour there discussing and continue my baking until 3.30am. Sleep for 2hrs and wakes up at 6am to do chocolate and cream cheese frosting ! Just to make sure the cuppies I made is as fresh as possible. =) Was very very tired when I bring Lervin to school. But seeing the happy face and him keep saying "thank you mummy" and giving me a big hug, all is worth it. Hus says I'm super woman and "伟大的妈妈!" hahaa.

Piping skills are not that good.. Need more improvement.





Hope he enjoys the celebration in centre. Bringing him out after work !! =)

Mum's place !

Went to PH to get ingredients for Lervin's birthday and go to mum's place.
The moment Leroy saw me he called me 姐姐 ! Funny guy.... =.=
I'm always looking forward to going mum's place and have homecook food... Yes. Only my mum's place when I can eat peacefully when siblings and parents to help look after the kids, feed them, play with them. Most impt no one to force me to eat more or even ask to finish the food. Mum is the best !

After, we went Ikea to get some stuffs. Reached there and it is very crowded as the sales is going on...
I got myself this for only $5.90 instead of the usual $9.90. Very useful and cheap. At first I wanted to get red colour. But after, I saw this one and only turquoise colour and I grab it. If I'm a step later, I wont be able to bring it home. =)
