Parent Teacher Meeting

My first time attending PTM. =)
Was kinda excited and worried.
Excited as the first time sitting down with the teachers and reviewing Lervin's performance in the centre.
Worried that he is not doing well and misbehave.

By the time I reached there, the kids are having their nap time. Peeped at Lervin and he is sleeping so soundly beside his mates. So cute ! =D
Sat down with the form teacher and chinese teacher. Lervin likes his form teacher alot. Everyday when we reach the centre, she will be the one he looks for without fail. Friendly and smilely teacher. =)
As for his chinese teacher, she quite ok too. But the only bad point is she speaks too soft. Other than that she is ok. =)

As of June 10, Lervin weighs 14kg and height 93cm.
Have to pay for public transport and watching movie...

Overall, the teachers are quite pleased with his behaviour and attitute.
Grading as follow...
M - Mastery of concepts / skills is attained
P - Acquired concepts / skills are developing and progressing
R - Concepts/ skills need further refinement and experience

sounds like playing online games. hahaha

So far he got 'M' for below.
- Listens attentively during movie, filmstrips or slide presentation.
- Speaks in sentences of at least five words.
- Sorts out objects according to shape.
- Introduces oneself confidently (name, age and gender)
- Recognises, identifies, names and points the parts of the body.
- Demonstrates some habits which would keep our body clean and healthy

For the last point, his teacher mentioned that he is the only one who got 'M'. =)
She mentioned that whenever he wash his hands, he will look for paper or towel to wipe. If he cant find any papers, he will ask from his teacher or take from his bag. (I always put a few packs of tissue in his bag.)
He will also take the cream from his bag and ask teacher to apply on the mozzy bites before naptime.
Sometimes when the teacher forget to do something eg, putting on diaper for him before nap, he will take the diaper from his bag and ask the teacher to put it on.

Quite a few to name.. But he is really independent now. Feels so happy. =)

Here's teacher's comment :
Lervin demonstrates commendable behaviour in class. He follows teacher's instructions and classroom routines diligently. His colouring skill is impressive too. A keen observer and the silent-type, he listens attentively during class discussion. He is all ears during discussion and in most times, if not all, he prefers to be a quiet listener. He occasionally shares his ideas and emotions towards the lesson. From being restraint, he is encouraged to be more spontaneous and outspoken in sharing his views and more pro-active in undertaking class activities. He is a potential learner and he is working towards becoming a more confident child with constant encouragement and positive reinforcement from both school and home.
